26: Yapan / Remembering

Yay. My mum got back from Japan last week. Of course, goodies galore. Oh, and I managed to secure a copy of the Ōkami OST.

Pics follows.

Origami

Cakes and Rolls

Sweet Snacks

Mono Bokuro

Savoury Snacks

Butter Cake

WTF

And of course, a face towel which I probably wont ever use to wipe my face. EVER.

______________

Wow. It began last week, now its almost done. Yep. technically, only 3 more days still SPM is over! Huzzah! *semi-victory dances ensue*

Today as I was sitting through Chemistry 3, I suddenly started reminiscing about my grandpa. Strange, I know.

Its been years already, so why now you ask? Actually, the reason is even quit unfathomable to me :/ It just struck me: Wow, I'm growing up. Now what? I even caught myself humming "Wake Me Up When September Ends" while thinking of him.

I cannot remember his face clearly (yet there is a photo of him downstairs, I know.). I cannot recall the man he was. I cannot even remember whether he was a nice, quiet guy or just a kooky, crazy fun person.

Some kind of grandson I am, right-o?

But I can still say one thing clearly, it is that I loved him a lot. I remember breaking down as a kid, grasping out for him as his coffin was sent into the crematorium (Parents take note! Never, ever let your kids experience this.)

So this is to you Grandpa, hoping that you're looking down on me proudly.

Yes, Grandpa's proud of you. Hang on to those memories, sweet or sad, memories are all that we have of those who are no longer here. All the best in your exams...soon, you'll be free...for now...

Wah... plenty of goodies. You know, the floor... looked similar like my house one.

@big boys oven: Sorry, but by now, nothing is left haha...

@wmw: finally free, but I'm going to college tomorrow :( Its quite intimidating.

@jason: eh? really? well, that floor seems to be the staple around here. Majority of the neighbor's houses have this kind of floor too

Your mum brought all those stuff home?

You sound like someone who has his head on the shoulders. Very mature! Anyone would be proud of you.

Aww thank you :)

Yeah, all from Japan. Nothing is cheap there, but I guess sometimes, you have to splurge a bit, in my mums case, haha.
